WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

Gold DiggersGold Diggers was made in 1995 and was directed by Kevin James Dobson.

The story is based around Beth Easton (Christina Ricci) and Jody Salerno (Anna Chlumsky). Beth has just arrived in town and is quite disappointed with the town so far, mainly because it does't have a mall and you can only tune in two channels on the TV set!

Jody's a bit of a tom boy and soon Beth is the best of friends with her. A local legend speculates that gold is hidden within Bear Mountain and the girls make it their summer goal to find the it.

Jody's mums boyfriend (who is a drunk) finds out about the gold and kidnaps Jody while he goes to Bear Mountain to find it. Beth realises this and alerts the local sheriff, a few minutes later a full scale rescue is in progress with helicopters, boats and rafts all descending on Bear Mountain.

Needless to say by the end of the film Jody is rescued.

An enjoyable film that is aimed at younger audiences, particularly if your a fan of authors such as Enid Blyton.
