WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?

The Hard Way was filmed in 1991 and was directed by John Badham.

Michael J. Fox plays a spoiled and pampered movie star called Nick Lang, whose made it big from his role as a cop, in his latest movie. But Nicks a perfectionist and wants his character to be more life like, so after seeing a real cop in action - John Moss (James Woods), Nick decides to accompany John on one of his cases. John is the original foul mouthed, insecure, loud and reckless cop, despite all this he is dating Susan (Annabella Sciorra).

Christina Ricci plays the role of Bonnie, Susans daughter. Bonnie only appears for five minutes, but her role is quickly developed to show her as a precocious 10 year old, who is not impresses ed with John talking to her as a 10 year old. You get the feeling that Bonnie really doesn't want her Mum going out with anyone so she makes life difficult for John and Susan when they are together.

The energy in this film is unbelievable and keeping up with Nick Lang is nearly impossible, Even though Christina is only in the film for a few minutes she develops her character well.
