A Maid With A Shade

The ghost-meets-girl story line in Casper gave CHRISTINA RICCI, 15, a scare when she was first approached to star in the new comedy. ''I was like, Casper the Friendly Ghost? Will my friends think this is cool?'' says Ricci, who played spooky Wednesday in ''The Addams Family'' films. ''Then I heard I'd have a love scene with Casper! I mean, how friendly is he?'' She's not much of a believer. ''If there really are ghosts, fine,'' Ricci says. ''They can haunt other people.'' Unless she picks the ghosts. ''Being haunted by the Red Hot Chili Peppers wouldn't be bad,'' says the high school sophomore. ''They're my favorite band.''
